Ghost votes
When you die, you get a say. Ghosts and spectators vote on the card that hits the arena next, and the living have to survive it.

Who votes
Three kinds of voter get one ballot each: players who died this round, spectators (including someone who joined mid-round and is waiting for the next map), and the viewers of a linked stream chat.
Bots never vote. Nobody who is alive can vote, not even from a second tab or a second session on the same account.
How to vote
The panel offers 3 cards. Click one, or press 1, 2 or 3 on your keyboard. Those keys take priority over the emote keys. You can change your vote until the count.
The vote opens as soon as a human dies. If only watchers are in the room and nobody has died, it opens 5 seconds into the round, so every round starts on plain rules. Living players see the same options and the live tally, but they can't vote.
How votes are counted
The votes are counted every few seconds after the vote opens. It needs at least 2 votes, or it waits for the next count. A tie is settled at random.
The winning card is announced 2 seconds before it starts. The next vote opens 4 seconds after the effect ends, and there is no limit per round. Votes only happen in a live round, not during the warm-up or between rounds.
When you vote alone
If fewer than 2 people can vote, the Director adds a vote of its own. It picks its card when the vote opens and shows it from the start, with a note saying it is the director's vote.
If you pick the same card, it wins. If you pick another one, it is a coin flip. If you don't vote, nothing happens. The Director steps out as soon as 2 people can vote.
Turning it off
When you create a party, you can untick "Ghost votes". The checkbox is under the map pool, and it is on by default. Quick play always has ghost votes.
Turning it off also stops the Director from playing cards when nobody is dying.
