Play of the Game
At the end of every match the game picks its best moment, shows it with an intro card and saves it as a clip you can share or turn into a video.
How the moment is picked
When the match ends, the game looks back over it (the warm-up doesn't count) for the best run of kills by one player. Kills of the same player within 6 seconds of each other count as one run.
Multi-kills score higher. So do flashy weapons, kills while you are hurt, tricks right before a kill and a kill that wins the round. The best run wins, and the clip starts 2 seconds before the first kill and ends 1.5 seconds after the last.
If nobody got a kill, the game picks the 6 seconds with the most damage dealt, without naming a player.
When it plays
When a match with two or more human players ends, the Play of the Game plays by itself before the results screen: the intro card, then the clip.
With fewer players, the results screen opens straight away. Either way, the results screen has a Watch Play of the Game button, so you can see it again, and a Share Play of the Game button.
The intro card
The clip opens with a 2.5 second card that says PLAY OF THE GAME and the featured player's name. Their fighter appears in their hat and cape and plays their equipped intro, a cosmetic you pick on the join screen.
If the clip has no featured player, or that player already left the room, the card is skipped.
Watch it, share it, export it
Every Play of the Game is saved like any other recording. It shows up in My Recordings with a Play of the Game badge, and you can watch it, share a link to it and export it as a video from there.
The results screen has the same share button, so you can post it before you leave.
