Maps with Swinging Platforms
Arenas where platforms hang from pivots and swing like pendulums, carrying whoever stands on them along the arc.
A rotating platform hangs from a pivot and swings like a pendulum, tilting a shallow number of degrees either way. The tilt is gentle enough that a rider stays on, so the danger is the ends: a hit near the edge sends you off the high side or into the gap beside it. The two maps use the idea in opposite ways. Rotate has a single wide slab in the middle of the arena, swaying 15 degrees over 6 s, with a short gap to each ledge. Pendulum hangs three chandeliers with different periods, so their spacing never repeats within a round, and the slowest, smallest swing is the easiest to stand on.
Cross by stepping off the leading edge as the next platform swings toward you. Waiting for a swing to stop never works, because it does not stop.
